Kristin Ryeson is a therapist and the Director of Clinical Services at PCS-Counseling. She is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical and administrative experience providing program oversight and services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Kristin’s areas of specialty include ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, school issues, Autism-spectrum and developmental disabilities, adjustment to major life changes (i.e. divorce, grief/loss, adoption), parenting, and family relationships.
Kristin utilizes a non-judgmental, strength-based, and supportive approach to treatment, where she engages in a collaborative and trusting relationship with her clients to reduce emotional pain, empower self-growth, and build meaningful relationships. Kristin is passionate about youth-voice and family-driven care and ensures that her clients feel authentically involved in the therapeutic process.
Kristin does not employ a “one-size fits all” treatment approach because she understands that people have unique feelings, values, and experiences. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family-Systems, play therapy, and attachment theory.
Kristin graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She spent 3 years in Philadelphia, where she enjoyed city life, spending sunny days rollerblading through Fairmount Park, rainy afternoons at the Art Museum, hanging out at the dog park with her rat terrier Franklin, and eating vegetarian Philly Cheesesteaks.
