Reiki
With Elaine or Jamie
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also supports the body’s natural healing processes. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese terms: Rei, meaning “higher power,” and Ki, meaning “life force energy.” Reiki works through subtle energetic pathways, recognizing that everything is made of energy and vibration, this practice supports balance within the body’s energy field, promoting harmony on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
During a Reiki session, energy flows from the practitioner’s hands to the client as the practitioner gently places their hands on or near the body in a series of positions. Each position is held for several minutes, guided by the client’s individual needs. Many people describe Reiki as a warm, calming, or gently radiant experience that encourages deep relaxation, mental clarity, and an enhanced sense of inner peace and well-being. Reiki treats the whole person, fostering a sense of safety, connection, and balance.
As a natural and non-invasive healing modality, Reiki can be used alongside medical and therapeutic treatments to support wellbeing. It is especially supportive during times of transition, grief, or emotional stress. Additionally, Reiki has been used to help minimize side effects associated with invasive medical treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
